Receptor activation produces downstream effects that differ by tissue. GLP-1 receptor signaling influences appetite regulation and insulin secretion in a glucose-dependent manner. GIP receptor activity contributes to metabolic handling of nutrients and may modulate adipose tissue. Glucagon receptor engagement raises energy expenditure and promotes hepatic lipid turnover, though the balance among these actions in humans is still being characterized. Preclinical models showed reductions in body weight and improved glycemic markers.
Clinical development has progressed through phase 2 trials in adults with obesity and type 2 diabetes, with phase 3 programs reported as ongoing. Reported outcomes include reductions in body weight and improvements in glycemic measures over defined treatment periods. Whether these effects translate into durable benefits after treatment ends remains an open question. Long-term safety data across broad populations are not yet complete, and regulatory decisions have not been announced.
Retatrutide is an investigational synthetic peptide engineered to activate three distinct hormone receptors within a single molecule. It targets the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor, the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor, and the glucagon receptor simultaneously. This triagonist design distinguishes it from earlier incretin-based compounds that act on one or two of these pathways. Structural modifications relative to native gut hormones extend its residence time in circulation. The molecule remains under clinical evaluation and is not approved for any indication.

Retatrutide is an investigational peptide developed by a pharmaceutical company as a multi-receptor agonist for treating obesity and type 2 diabetes. The compound emerged from research into gut-hormone analogues that act on several receptors simultaneously rather than on a single target. Early preclinical work examined how combined activity at three distinct receptors might produce greater metabolic effects than single-receptor compounds. Published phase 2 results have described substantial reductions in body weight among participants, although the compound remains unapproved in most jurisdictions as of the mid-2020s.
Pharmacologically, retatrutide acts as a triple agonist at the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor, the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor, and the glucagon receptor. Activation of the first two receptors is associated with improved insulin secretion and reduced appetite. The glucagon receptor component is thought to increase energy expenditure, a mechanism that distinguishes this molecule from dual-agonist compounds. Researchers continue to investigate how the three activities interact and whether the combined profile offers advantages that justify additional clinical testing.
Several questions about the compound remain unresolved. The durability of weight reduction after treatment stops, the frequency of gastrointestinal side effects, and the long-term cardiovascular profile are topics of ongoing study. Regulatory submissions and phase 3 trial outcomes have not been fully reported in the public literature. Because most available data come from controlled trials rather than general-population use, conclusions about effectiveness outside study settings are provisional. The distinction between established findings and open questions matters when interpreting early coverage of the drug.
Characterising a peptide of this size relies on a combination of chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques. Reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography separates the intact molecule from related impurities, while electrospray mass spectrometry confirms molecular mass and detects truncation or oxidation products. Peptide mapping after enzymatic digestion verifies the amino acid sequence and locates modified residues. Because the molecule carries a lipid chain, assays must also distinguish the correctly conjugated product from incompletely acylated species.
Peptides in this class degrade mainly through hydrolysis, oxidation, and aggregation. The lipid modification improves plasma residence time but can also promote self-association in aqueous solution at higher concentrations. Oxidation of methionine and deamidation of asparagine residues are common chemical liabilities that accumulate during storage. Stability studies therefore track purity loss, aggregate formation, and changes in receptor-binding potency over time under defined temperature and humidity conditions.
Pharmacologically the compound activates three receptors: GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon. GLP-1 and GIP signaling contribute to glucose-dependent insulin release, delayed gastric emptying, and reduced appetite, while glucagon receptor activation is associated with increased energy expenditure and hepatic fat oxidation. The single-molecule design is intended to keep these activities in one peptide rather than combining separate agents. Relative activity at each receptor differs, and the balance between them is a central question in interpretation. The glucagon component is partly offset by incretin-mediated insulin secretion, an interaction that remains incompletely characterized.
Development has progressed from single- and multiple-ascending-dose studies in healthy volunteers into larger randomized trials in adults with obesity, type 2 diabetes, and fatty liver disease. Early reports describe dose-dependent reductions in body weight and improvements in glycemic markers over treatment periods of several months. Whether the glucagon arm adds tolerability cost without added benefit is still debated. Long-term cardiovascular outcomes, effects after treatment stops, and performance in older or comorbid populations are open questions rather than settled findings. Approval status may change, so the current investigational label should be confirmed against regulatory sources.
Italy was a postwar operator of P-51Ds; deliveries were slowed by the Korean War, but between September 1947 and January 1951, by MDAP count, 173 examples were delivered. They were used in all the AMI fighter units: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 51 Stormo (wing), plus some employed in schools and experimental units. Considered a "glamorous" fighter, P-51s were even used as personal aircraft by several Italian commanders. Some restrictions were placed on its use due to unfavorable flying characteristics. Handling had to be done with much care when fuel tanks were fully used, and several aerobatic maneuvers were forbidden. Overall, the P-51D was highly rated even compared to the other primary postwar fighter in Italian service, the Supermarine Spitfire, partly because these P-51Ds were in very good condition in contrast to all other Allied fighters supplied to Italy. Phasing out of the Mustang began in mid-1958. Japan The P-51C-11-NT Evalina, marked as "278" (former USAAF serial: 44-10816) and flown by 26th FS, 51st FG, was hit by gunfire on 16 January 1945 and belly-landed on Suchon Airfield in China, which was held by the Japanese. The Japanese repaired the aircraft, roughly applied Hinomaru roundels and flew the aircraft to the Fussa evaluation center (now Yokota Air Base) in Japan. Netherlands
Yeasts, like all fungi, may have asexual and sexual reproductive cycles. The most common mode of vegetative growth in yeast is asexual reproduction by budding, where a small bud (also known as a bleb or daughter cell) is formed on the parent cell. The nucleus of the parent cell splits, producing a daughter nucleus that migrates into the daughter cell. The bud then continues to grow until it separates from the parent cell, forming a new cell. The daughter cell produced during the budding process is generally smaller than the mother cell. Some yeasts, including Schizosaccharomyces pombe, reproduce by fission instead of budding, and thereby creating two identically sized daughter cells. In general, under high-stress conditions such as nutrient starvation, haploid cells will die; under the same conditions, however, diploid cells can undergo sporulation, entering sexual reproduction (meiosis) and producing a variety of haploid spores, which can go on to mate (conjugate), reforming the diploid. The haploid fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe is a facultative sexual microorganism that can undergo mating when nutrients are limited. Exposure of S. pombe to hydrogen peroxide, an agent that causes oxidative stress leading to oxidative DNA damage, strongly induces mating and the formation of meiotic spores. The budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae reproduces by mitosis as diploid cells when nutrients are abundant, but when starved, this yeast undergoes meiosis to form haploid spores. Haploid cells may then reproduce asexually by mitosis. Katz Ezov et al.
The aroma chemicals acetamide and cumarine have been found in the e-cigarette vapor. Acrylonitrile and ethylbenzene have been found in the e-cigarette vapor. Benzene and 1,3-Butadiene have been found in the e-cigarette vapor at many-fold lower than in cigarette smoke. Some e-cigarettes contain diacetyl and acetaldehyde in the e-cigarette vapor. Diacetyl and acetylpropionyl have been found at greater levels in the e-cigarette vapor than is accepted by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, although diacetyl and acetylpropionyl are normally found at lower levels in e-cigarettes than with traditional cigarettes. A 2018 PHE report stated that diacetyl was identified at hundreds of times in lesser amounts than found in cigarette smoke. A 2016 WHO report found that acetaldehyde from second-hand vapor was between two and eight times greater compared to background air levels.

==== Mastocytosis ==== Mastocytosis involves both excessive accumulation and activation of mast cells and is considered a primary type of mast cell activation disorder (MCAD). Mastocytosis is a rare clonal mast cell disorder involving rapid, uncontrolled cell growth and the presence of too many mast cells (mastocytes). The most commonly affected organs in mastocytosis are bone marrow, skin, liver, spleen, and lymph nodes. Symptoms of mastocytosis depend upon the organs involved. In 2016, the World Health Organization (WHO) classified mastocytosis as cutaneous (CM, skin only), systemic (SM, involving at least one additional organ) or mast cell sarcoma (MCS, involving rapidly spreading solid tumors). In 2022, WHO divided SM into subcategories which include the less advanced forms of bone marrow mastocytosis (BMM), indolent systemic mastocytosis (ISM), smoldering systemic mastocytosis (SSM), and the more advanced forms of aggressive systemic mastocytosis (ASM), systemic mastocytosis with an associated hematologic neoplasm (SM-AHN), and mast cell leukemia (MCL). Although not always present, mutations in KIT appear to result in uncontrolled growth of MCs. The KITD816V mutation is present in over 90% of mastocytosis patients. It is located in exon 17 in the intracellular tyrosine kinase 2 (TK2) domain. This mutation, as well as expression of either CD2 or CD25 (confirmed by immunostaining or flow cytometry), are characteristic of primary clonal/monoclonal mast cell activation syndrome (CMCAS/MMAS).
In the US, chlorothalonil is used predominantly on peanuts (about 34% of usage), potatoes (about 12%), and tomatoes (about 7%), although the EPA recognizes its use on many other crops. It is also used on golf courses and lawns (about 10%) and as a preservative additive in some paints (about 13%), resins, emulsions, and coatings. Chlorothalonil is commercially available in many different formulations and delivery methods. It is applied as a dust, dry or water-soluble grains, a wettable powder, a liquid spray, a fog, and a dip. It may be applied by hand, by ground sprayer, or by aircraft.
A photosensitizer is a chemical compound or nanomaterial capable of capturing light energy and using this energy to generate ROS. Currently, there are 6 photosensitizers that are clinically-approved or undergoing clinical trials for the treatment of cancers and 1 approved for the treatment of eye disorders and diseases. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is also often used for acne treatment as well as various dermatological conditions such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and vitiligo. It is highly unlikely that bacteria would gain resistance to a photosensitizer or PDT treatment, as the photosensitizers can generate ROS within or outside of the target cell, both of which damage the membrane

== Hazards == Americium-241 has the same general hazards as other americium isotopes: it is both extremely toxic and radioactive. Though α-particles can be stopped by a sheet of paper, there are serious health concerns for ingestion of α-emitters. Americium and its isotopes are also very chemically toxic as well, in the form of heavy-metal toxicity. As little as 0.03 microcuries (1.1 kBq) is the maximum permissible body burden for 241Am. Americium-241 is an α-emitter with a weak γ-ray byproduct. Safely handling americium-241 requires knowing and following proper safety precautions, as without them it would be extremely dangerous. Its specific gamma dose constant is 3.14×10−1 mR/hr/mCi or 8.48×10−5 mSv/hr/MBq at 1 metre (3 ft 3 in). If consumed, americium-241 is excreted within a few days and only 0.05% is absorbed in the blood. From there, roughly 45% of it goes to the liver and 45% to the bones, and the remaining 10% is excreted. The uptake to the liver depends on the individual and increases with age. In the bones, americium is first deposited over cortical and trabecular surfaces and slowly redistributes over the bone with time. The biological half-life of 241Am is 50 years in the bones and 20 years in the liver, whereas in the gonads (testicles and ovaries) it remains permanently; in all these organs, americium promotes formation of cancer cells as a result of its radioactivity.
=== Pharmacokinetics === After oral intake, ertugliflozin is practically completely absorbed from the gut and undergoes no relevant first-pass effect. Highest blood plasma concentrations are reached after one hour. When in circulation, 93.6% of the substance are bound to plasma proteins. Ertugliflocin is metabolised mainly to glucuronides by the enzymes UGT1A9 and UGT2B7. Cytochrome P450 enzymes play only a minor role in its metabolism. The elimination half-life is estimated to be 17 hours. 40.9% are eliminated via the feces (33.8% in unchanged form and 7.1% as metabolites) and 50.2% via the urine (1.5% unchanged and 48.7% as metabolites). The high proportion of unchanged substance in the feces is probably due to hydrolysis of the metabolites back to the parent substance.
Ghana, officially the Republic of Ghana, is a country in West Africa. It is situated with the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean to the south, and shares borders with Ivory Coast to the west, Burkina Faso to the north, and Togo to the east. Ghana covers an area of 239,567 km2 (92,497 sq mi), spanning various ecologies, from coastal savannas to tropical rainforests. With over 35 million inhabitants, Ghana is the thirteenth-most populous country in Africa, and the second-most populous country in West Africa. The capital and most populous city is Accra. The earliest kingdoms to emerge in Ghana were Bonoman in the south and the Kingdom of Dagbon in the north, with Bonoman existing in the area during the 11th century. The Asante Empire and other Akan kingdoms in the south emerged over the centuries. Beginning in the 15th century, the Portuguese Empire, followed by other European powers, contested the area for trading rights, until the British ultimately established control of the coast by the 19th century. Following more than a century of colonial resistance, the later borders of the country took shape, encompassing four separate British colonial territories: Gold Coast, Ashanti, the Northern Territories, and British Togoland. These were unified as an independent dominion within the Commonwealth of Nations. On 6 March 1957, Ghana became the first colony in Sub-Saharan Africa to achieve sovereignty. Under President Kwame Nkrumah, it became influential in decolonisation efforts and the Pan-African movement.

It is a synthetic peptide triagonist that engages GIP, GLP-1, and glucagon receptors. Investigational compounds in this class are studied for metabolic conditions rather than for a single organ system.
No regulatory agency has approved it for any indication. It remains an investigational product studied within controlled clinical trial programs.
A dual agonist engages two receptor targets, typically GIP and GLP-1. A triagonist adds glucagon receptor activity, which is intended to influence energy expenditure alongside appetite and glucose handling.
常用质谱测定分子量,再结合肽图或序列分析验证一级结构。单一检测手段一般难以排除结构相近的类似物。多种方法相互印证更为可靠。
